Hallie is here!
Hallie Ann Wright was born at Baylor Dallas on Thursday, Oct. 22nd at 3:01 pm. She weighed 7 lb 5 oz and was 21 in long.
I started having contractions on Tuesday, Oct. 20th during our last home volleyball match. I was able to coach the girls that night but left for the hospital right after. My dad drove me there and Ben, my mom, and Courtney came soon after. I found out that I was in false labor b/c I was dehydrated.
From that night until I delivered on Thursday I never stopped having contractions. I was pretty exhausted.
Thursday morning at 3 am my contractions were very intense and about 6 to 7 min. apart. We got in the car, in the pouring rain, and drove to Baylor. On the way we called the hospital and they said they really wouldnt admit us until my contractions were 4 and 5 min. apart. So in the parking lot of Baylor, at 3:30 am, in the pouring rain, we waited in the car till they were closer together. Ben and I would doze off in between contractions, I would wake him to tell him I was having another one and he timed and charted each contraction. At about 5 am we headed into the hospital. When they checked me I was dilated to a 5 and they said "you are having a baby today!" I was so excited :)
My parents, Becky, Ross, Meemaw, Papaw, Benj, Leslie, and Courtney was able to be there for the delivery. Zach, Amanda, Ella, and Joey also came to visit that day.

Dr. Apt. scare
On Thursday, Oct. 15th Ben's school was throwing us a baby shower. I had a Doctor's apt a few hours before the shower. Dr. Payne sent me over to Baylor because he heard a drop in the baby's heart rate. I was nervous driving over there praying nothing was wrong. They hooked me up to a monitor for a few hours and I got to listen to her heart beat. Everything checked out fine. I was so relieved. I did miss the shower, unfortunately.
I loved the decorated jeep. He got a front row spot pulling up to the hospital.

Belly shots
At 37 weeks I decided to take some belly pics. My dad was the photographer and did a great job. It was a lot of fun.
I found out I was pregnant in Febuary 09 at the State swim meet in San Antonio. I took the test at 5:30 in the morning and freaked out when it said positive. I met up with Ben that afternoon in Austin for my cousin Carolyn's wedding. We pulled up to a Boston Market to grab a bite to eat and in the parking lot I pulled out the pregnancy test and with tears in my eyes I told him I was pregnant. He was so shocked and excited. :) We will never forget that day.

Volleyball Belly
Before our first district game I decided to paint a volleyball on my belly. When I walked into the locker room to for our pre game talk the girls didn't even notice my big volleyball painted belly.
I had to stop what I was saying, look down, and point to it before the first girl saw it and screamed. After that they all noticed it and were laughing so hard.
Don't worry, I didn't coach like that :)
